The position serves as a front office senior analyst supporting the Director and Deputy Director for the Office of Nuclear Incident Preparedness and Collaboration (NIPC).
The front office senior analyst leads critical initiatives; helps ensure staff alignment with CTCP and NNSA mission objectives; and provides sound strategy input and high-level analysis on cross-cutting office initiatives to inform federal decision-making processes. The position is responsible for supporting a wide breadth of operational and cross-functional issues policies procedures and analysis; standard operating procedures; coordinating and producing work products; and working closely with NIPC leadership to make recommendations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support daily communication and recurring reporting to ensure effective responsiveness with a high degree of integrity accuracy and timeliness in NIPC processes. Replies to include but not limited to requests for information queries data calls and work products.
- Support the development and coordination of work products including official memoranda guidance documents presentations and policies that impact the NIPC mission and equities.
- Work within the office to develop and prepare speaking notes talking points and electronic communication for NIPC leadership for events conferences and meetings to ensure messaging content is engaging informative and aligns with organizational strategic objectives. Integrate input and review from relevant office SMEs as needed.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships across NIPC for the purposes of open and clear communication and stakeholder input. Help serve as a hub for communication ensuring seamless information flow between different levels of the organization by facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment on goals and objectives. Communication occurs with a broad array of internal stakeholders spanning the office leadership to include the Director and Deputy Director NIPC front office staff federal employees and support service contractors.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships across CTCP and the broader NNSA front offices as needed/appropriate for the coordination and execution of work.
- Plan and coordinate meetings as needed/requested keeping discussions focused and productive. Identify due-outs next steps and drive attention to progress.
- Analyze operational processes to help identify bottlenecks an inefficiencies proposing solutions to streamline workflows.
- Provide front office analyst insights gleaned from experience to front office team members providing mentorship and leadership.
- Support U.S. national security and energy objectives by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and participating in briefings at leadership levels including within NNSA as well as DOE/NNSA laboratories interagency partners and international organizations.
- Reviews decision memorandum directives orders and materials that could impact NIPC missions to ensure procedures align with and support the requirements policies and plans of the Federal government National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the Department of Energy (DOE). Advise and recommend policy organization and operational procedures specific to NIPC missions.
- Brief and interact with senior leaders to include DOE/NNSA interagency and international partners.
- Assist in the execution of NIPC budget activities to include communicating with laboratory and stakeholder POCs completing monthly tracking processes monitoring spending consolidating data and updating internal budget dashboards for analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned such as providing briefings programmatic and mission updates products and recommendations to CTCP and NIPC leadership Federal employees and support service contractors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree required in relevant field.
- ActiveDOEQ or DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Understanding of DOE and NNSA Strategic Mission.
- Prior experience supporting business operations Chief of Staff Executive Officer or similar.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and proven ability to perform in a fast-paced deadline-oriented work environment successfully executing simultaneous tasks.
- Must be an independent self-starter with excellent organizational skills problem-solving skills communication skills analytical skills multitasking skills and interpersonal skills including comfort working among a team with varying fields of national security and emergency operations disciplines.
- Proficiency in Power Automate Power BI Power Apps and full Microsoft suite.
- Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of tasks and people to support program objectives and goals.
LOCATION: This is a hybrid position to include onsite work in Washington DC 20024 USA
- While this position is primarily hybrid it requires the flexibility to work full-time from the office during peak periods or for dedicated team-wide support initiatives.
SALARY:Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data internal equity and the candidates related knowledge skills and abilities for the position. The range for this position is $115K to $140K
