Job Title: Senior Product-Driven Organization (PDO) / Agile Consultant

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Location: Edmonton AB

Work Type: Hybrid

Pay Range: CAD 100 to CAD 115

Position Summary:

  • Fujitsu is seeking a Senior PDO / Agile Consultant for the design stand up and scaling a Product-Driven Organization (PDO) and enabling enterprise-wide agile delivery.

This role combines:

  • Thought leadership in defining product-centric operating models
  • Hands-on leadership in establishing and running agile digital product delivery
  • Advisory and coaching to enable sustainable transformation
  • The consultant will act as a trusted advisor and execution partner helping transition from a project-based delivery model to product-aligned outcome-driven ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

1. Define & Establish the Product-Driven Organization (PDO)

  • Advise senior stakeholders on transitioning to a product-driven operating model aligned to business capabilities and value streams
  • Design the PDO structure including:
  • Digital product taxonomy and ownership model
  • Governance and decision rights
  • Funding and prioritization approaches
  • Operating cadence (planning reviews value tracking)
  • Define roles and interaction models across business technology and data teams

2. Stand Up Digital product Teams & Delivery Structures

  • Establish and mobilize cross-functional product teams aligned to strategic priorities
  • Define team structures roles (Product Owner Scrum Master Tech Lead) and engagement models
  • Guide HR in role formalization and org redesign
  • Develop and institutionalize delivery playbooks and standards

3. Lead Scaled Agile Delivery (SAFe or Equivalent)

  • Implement and guide scaled agile frameworks (SAFe preferred) across multiple teams
  • Facilitate core delivery events:
  • PI Planning
  • Iteration planning
  • Program reviews and retrospectives
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and ensure alignment across delivery streams

4. Establish Lean Portfolio & Product Governance

  • Design and implement lean portfolio management practices
  • Enable outcome-based prioritization tied to strategic objectives and value realization
  • Support governance forums and executive decision-making

5. Coach & Enable Client Teams

  • Coach product owners scrum masters and business stakeholders on:
  • Product thinking
  • Agile principles and practices
  • Outcome-driven delivery
  • Build internal capabilities to sustain PDO and agile practices post-engagement

6. Drive Delivery Performance & Value Realization

  • Define and direct the management of product-level KPIs and success metrics
  • Improve delivery outcomes including:
  • Time-to-value
  • Predictability
  • Quality
  • Establish feedback loops for continuous improvement

Required Experience

Core Consulting & Transformation Experience

  • 10 years in digital transformation agile delivery or operating model consulting
  • Proven experience in establishing or transforming to a product-driven organization (PDO)
  • Led 2 full-Lifecyle PDO implementations
  • Experience in client-facing consulting roles acting as both advisor and delivery leader

Agile & Delivery Leadership

  • Deep hands-on experience with SAFe or other scaled agile frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead:
  • Multi-team / multi-product delivery
  • Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
  • Strong understanding of backlog management dependency management and release planning

Operating Model & Governance

  • Experience designing and implementing:
  • Product governance models
  • Portfolio prioritization frameworks
  • Product-based funding models

Industry / Domain (Preferred)

  • Experience in manufacturing CPG or supply chain-intensive environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as:
  • ERP PLM MES or data/analytics ecosystems

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of product agile and digital transformation practices
  • Strong facilitation coaching and change leadership capabilities
  • Ability to navigate complex cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAFe certification (e.g. SAFe Agilist SPC)
  • Experience with product operating model transformation
  • Experience in enterprise-scale digital transformation programs

Requirements:

  • Product Management Organization Design and Deployment experience Has Led 2 full-lifecyle PDO implementations with an ability to advise senior stakeholders on transitioning to a product-driven operating model aligned to business capabilities and value streams
  • Lead Scaled Agile Delivery (SAFe or Equivalent) experience Ability/experience to implement and guide scaled agile frameworks (SAFe preferred) across multiple teams
  • Operating Model & Governance design and implementation experience.
  • Strong industry background preference for experience in manufacturing CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or supply chain-intensive environments.
