MGA is seeking a Contract Administrator / Architectural Technologist to join our Vancouver team and support the construction phase delivery of well-designed projects. You bring curiosity rigor and a collaborative mindset to the construction phase of our work.
For intermediate: in this role your technical growth is taken seriously and you will be mentored by senior practitioners and given increasing CA responsibility as you build your skills.
For senior: this role is a unique opportunity to share technical delivery and influence how we build document and deliver.
What Youll Get Up To:
- Lead construction administration independently across a range of project types and delivery methods including design-bid-build design-build and more.
- Owns site visits and field reports setting the standard for documentation quality across the CA team
- Reviews shop drawings submittals and RFIs for alignment with design intent and contract documents with clear recommendations for Project/Design leads.
- Prepare and issues SIs ASKs CCNs and change documents independently
- Maintain accurate and well-organized project documentation including logs meeting minutes and correspondence
- Identify and resolve field issues with confidence and practical judgment
- Mentor intermediate staff and help build MGAs CA team capacity
- Contribute to defining technical delivery standards and CA processes firm-wide
What You Bring:
- 7 years of experience leading contract administration across a range of project types and delivery methods
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assess complex site conditions and lead practical well-considered solutions
- Deep understanding of construction documentation CCDC contracts and site coordination
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required
- Strong judgment and organizational discipline with the ability to manage multiple active projects and competing priorities
- Clear confident communication skills with the ability to build credibility and strong working relationships with contractors consultants and project teams
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members through the construction phase
- Proactive accountable and comfortable taking ownership of decisions and outcomes on site
