Job Summary
Field Applications Engineer Intern
Job Description:
Provide onsite product application support to customer yield engineering metrology and Litho teams.
Develop strong technical relationship with direct customer interface.
Manage product engagement with regular customer review meetings and bringing critical customer requirements to Account Team and RPM (Regional Product Marketing).
The ideal candidate will have excellent communications skills with a passion for problem solving in a pragmatic manner
More importantly feel proud that his/her own developed solutions get adopted and satisfied by customer.
Day-to-day activities includes front-line support at customer site with face-to-face interface as well as email and phone communications characterizing issues reported and driving timely solutions feedback to customer.
First line customer engagement role: working with customer daily on e-Beam Inspection & Metrology solution technical development. Drive and monitor ASML eBeam product & solution engagements at customer site.
Project ownership: provide necessary input to RPM project leader to define technical specs and timeline with customer
Bring technical requirements or technical issues to RPM and Account team with a sense connecting the impact to business.
Weekly reporting and tracking of customer engagement status
On-time reporting/escalation to AT (account team) and RPM upon business critical information/issues
Summarize BKM (best known method) and share within Apps team (extend to WW Apps team)
Requirements:
Year 3/4 undergraduate student and postgraduate student
Should be able to intern more than 6 months at least 4 days a week
MSc or Phd (Phd is a plus but not required) in Physical Sciences Optics Electrical Engineering Chemical Engineering Materials Science Mathematics etc.
Solid knowledge of inspection & metrology tool usage
Customer M&I working experience is preferred
Strong in logical thinking analytical and problem solving skills
Scripting (in Python MATLAB) skill is a plus
Strong communication plan & organization x-sector collaboration and people/project leadership skills
Sensitive to dynamics at customer site
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with different cultures
Fluent English speaking & writing skills
This position requires access to controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730 et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
