Job Summary
The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for managing customer orders coordinating shipments and ensuring timely and accurate service delivery. This role acts as a key link between customers sales teams and internal departments to meet customer requirements efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Process customer orders including order entry and shipment scheduling
Coordinate order fulfillment between manufacturing and customers
Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external customers or sales representatives
Support assigned territories by handling inquiries pricing delivery timelines and terms
Collaborate with departments such as sales shipping purchasing and finance to ensure timely service
Handle customer communication via phone email and other channels
Recommend suitable products based on customer needs; escalate complex inquiries when required
Perform administrative tasks such as scanning indexing documents and processing RMAs
Track order status and communicate delays backorders or substitutions to customers and sales teams
Respond to customer complaints and coordinate resolution with relevant teams
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing system
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Communications or related field (preferred)
1 3 years of customer service experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Basic mechanical aptitude (preferred)
Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work across multiple systems
