Job Title: Customer Service Specialist
Location: Florence KY 41042 (Hybrid)
Salary: $44000 $55000 (based on experience) Full-time benefits
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Work Model: Hybrid (Work from Home on Mondays & Fridays)
Job Summary
The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for managing customer orders coordinating shipments and ensuring timely and accurate service delivery. This role acts as a key link between customers sales teams and internal departments to meet customer requirements efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders including order entry and shipment scheduling
- Coordinate order fulfillment between manufacturing and customers
- Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external customers or sales representatives
- Support assigned territories by handling inquiries pricing delivery timelines and terms
- Collaborate with departments such as sales shipping purchasing and finance to ensure timely service
- Handle customer communication via phone email and other channels
- Recommend suitable products based on customer needs; escalate complex inquiries when required
- Perform administrative tasks such as scanning indexing documents and processing RMAs
- Track order status and communicate delays backorders or substitutions to customers and sales teams
- Respond to customer complaints and coordinate resolution with relevant teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing system
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Communications or related field (preferred)
- 1 3 years of customer service experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Basic mechanical aptitude (preferred)
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work across multiple systems
