The Enterprise Applications Support Analyst provides dedicated technical expertise administration and operational support for a portfolio of mission-critical campus application platforms. Ensures the long-term stability security and integrity of systems that power the student faculty and staff experience. Serves as the primary technical and functional expert for their assigned systems including meal plans ID card systems facilities scheduling and financial aid databases.

About The Department
Macalester Colleges Information Technology Services (ITS) department offers comprehensive services to support the campus communitys technological needs. These services include project management systems consulting software implementation and maintenance database management and data reporting. Additionally ITS manages the campus network telecommunications systems central servers and information security architecture.
Responsibilities
System Administration: Provides primary technical support and system administration for assigned applications and their corresponding infrastructure. Acts as the primary technical point of contact with vendors to resolve bugs and coordinate service.
Functional Partnership: Collaborates closely with campus stakeholders to understand their business processes. Provides the documentation and training necessary to empower campus users and identify opportunities to improve existing workflows.
Troubleshooting & Analysis: Serves as the Tier 2/3 technical lead for application-related issues. Diagnoses root causes across the application database and server layers to implement reliable long-term solutions.
Operational Maintenance: Leads the execution of system upgrades patches and environment refreshes. Perform rigorous testing and validation in coordination with functional teams.
Data & Integration Support: Develops configures and maintains integrations between enterprise systems. Uses scripting to automate routine administrative tasks.
Departmental Alignment: Maintains a strong service orientation by collaborating with the broader ITS team to ensure effective computing support and system security across the Macalester community.
Other Responsibilities: Completes other responsibilities as assigned. Participates as an active member of the team. Participates in department and college activities and supports implementation of shared goals and initiatives. Provides backup support to other members of the team.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree
Required 3 to 5 years of experience supporting enterprise or SaaS applications in a professional environment.
Proficiency with MS SQL Server or similar
Proficiency using scripting languages for automation and data handling.
Proficiency supporting enterprise application installations upgrades and complex troubleshooting.
Strong analytical skills proficiency with complex troubleshooting
Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical functional partners.
Compensation
The annual salary for this position is $67320 to $70380 depending on experience.
