At Lynx Central CU Denvers FirstStop for enrollment services we are committed to simplifying the journey towards academic success for our students. We strive to provide comprehensive support guidance and resources to streamline the enrollment process ensuring accessibility efficiency and excellence in service. As Lynx Central Enrollment Services Specialists are responsible for supporting students as they navigate the administrative aspects of the enrollment process including those connected to admissions financial aid registration and bursar functions.
Team members will empower students by fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where they can navigate enrollment procedures seamlessly access essential information and receive personalized assistance tailored to their unique needs. This will be through phone email and face-to-face interactions. Lynx Central Enrollment Services Specialists will also support students through proactive outreach campaigns anticipating student needs and providing them with what they need to be successful at CU Denver.
Enrollment Services Specialist I
What you will do:
- Support students as they navigate all administrative aspects of the enrollment process including admissions financial aid registration and bursar functions.
- Provide clear detailed information about enrollment requirements and assist students inperson by phone email and text to ensure they complete all steps.
- Proactively identify potential issues and remove obstacles throughout the enrollment process.
- Collaborate with departments across campusincluding Admissions Financial Aid Registration Bursar academic advisors faculty and academic support staffto ensure a seamless student experience.
- Interpret and respond to student inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
- Serve as a liaison between students and other university departments.
- Explain administer and adhere to university policies and procedures.
- Deliver comprehensive exceptional customer service in all interactions.
- Conduct student outreach efforts including phone calls and followup communication.
- Perform data entry produce reports and maintain student records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- A bachelors degree in any field from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
- Previous experience working in enrollment services (admissions financial aid registrar bursar academic advising)
- Experience with PeopleSoft
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing outstanding customer service skills.
- Adept at utilizing technology to effectively communicate and complete work (e.g. MS Outlook MS Word MS Excel); ability to learn new technology.
- Commitment to serving students at a public urban research university.
- Ability to manage escalations and triage as needed.
Conditions of Employment
Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required.
This position follows a hybrid work structure with specific schedules determined by leadership and the needs of the office.
Mental Physical and/or Environmental Requirements
- This position may be performed in a hybrid or remote environment requiring the ability to work effectively in a remote setting. This includes maintaining a dedicated workspace free of excessive noise or distractions reliable internet connectivity and the ability to participate in virtual meetings for extended periods. Employees must be able to independently manage time remain stationary for prolonged computer-based work and transport necessary equipment (such as a laptop and peripherals) between their remote work location and the office as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $44800 - $45748.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
