Job Summary
The University of Chicago Divinity School invites applications for full professor position(s) in Catholic Studies for an appointment date of July 1 2027 or some date thereafter. The successful candidate(s) will have deep familiarity with the Catholic theological tradition. Disciplinary approach is open.
Salary Range: $150000 - $225000. This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment paid over twelve months. This position may be eligible for a taxable moving allowance.

The Divinity School is the graduate professional school for the academic study of religion at the University of Chicago a private research university. Faculty in the School teach graduate students in its Ph.D. M.A. . and A.M.R.S. programs as well as undergraduates in the College. Many members of the faculty hold associate appointments in humanities or social science departments and professional schools of the University. A normal teaching load is four courses per year on a quarter system.
The successful candidate(s) will be an established leader in their field with a distinguished record of publication and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching.
