Role Overview
The Manager Talent Systems & Operations manages the systems processes and workflows that support hiring across KIPP NorCal. This role ensures talent acquisition data is accurate accessible and actionable enabling the Talent Acquisition team to track progress and make informed decisions. The Manager partners with the Director of Talent Acquisition and cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and hiring outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Talent Systems & Workflow Management
- Manages talent acquisition systems and workflows to ensure accurate consistent and reliable hiring data across all stages of the pipeline
- Implements system configurations and process improvements that increase visibility into hiring progress and reduce operational friction
- Develops standardized workflows and tools that improve usability and ensure consistent system adoption across the Talent team
Data Quality & Reporting
- Leads data quality practices across talent systems ensuring pipeline data is complete accurate and audit-ready
- Develops recurring reports on hiring progress vacancies and pipeline health to support team and school-level decision-making
- Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure reporting reflects clear definitions aligned metrics and actionable insights
Process Improvement & Systems Adoption
- Executes process improvements that reduce manual work and transition workflows from spreadsheets to system-based solutions
- Coordinates system documentation and training resources to ensure tools are sustainable and easy to use
- Leads adoption of systems and processes across the Talent team reinforcing consistent usage and best practices
School Portfolio Hiring Support
- Manages a portfolio of schools to ensure roles are filled efficiently and aligned to hiring timelines
- Partners with school leaders to execute hiring processes and improve candidate pipeline outcomes
- Uses hiring data to inform decisions and improve execution within assigned portfolio
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinates with Data and Total Employee Experience teams to align on systems reporting and hiring metrics
- Partners with Talent leadership to execute operational priorities and improve hiring workflows
- Communicates progress risks and recommendations to stakeholders enabling timely decision-making

- Experience in talent acquisition or recruiting operations
- Experience working in education or nonprofit environments
- Relevant certifications or training in operations HR systems or project management preferred but not required

We benchmark annually against comparably-sized non-profit organizations in the regions where we operate to offer competitive salaries. The salary range for this position is between $83000 and $95000.
