Job Summary
Position Overview
This position assembles and inspects medical devices using work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assemblers will regularly work with microscopes hand tools and/or small components requiring a high degree of dexterity and accuracy.

Create a layout for casers to follow.
Wire and solder components.
Prepare the hearing device for wiring and ensuring that all components will be placed correctly.
Trim sand and buff hearing devices.
Ensure the quality of the hearing devices through electro-acoustic testing.
Program/reprogram devices as needed.
Assemble mechanical and electrical parts using small hand tools.
Use a high-speed burr and an ultrasonic cutter.
Visually inspect hearing aids for signs of damage and functionality.
Conduct listening checks.
Educate operators on how to properly understand and execute WIs and deviations to meet product quality productivity and compliance goals.
Suggest edits to WIs as appropriate to keep documents correct accurate and create best practices.
Support engineering R&D initiatives and new product introduction (NPI).
Support their respective area with process audits structured follow-up and continuous training to ensure operator understanding/compliance.

Desired Qualifications
Required Education:
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Education:
Technical/bachelors degree
Physical Demands: Able to stand or sit for long periods of time. Able to lift 25 pounds by self and 50 pounds with a team lift (i.e. sitting standing lifting bending reaching etc)
Compensation: Depending on your work location the target hourly rate for this position can range from $18.50 - $20.75. In addition you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location role skill set and level of experience.
