Metrolinxs GO Expansion program is delivering more GO service across the network including the capacity to deliver two-way service every 15 minutes or better on core routes. Work is already underway on new track stationrenovationsand infrastructure upgrades on parts of the Lakeshore StouffvilleKitchenerand Barrie lines. The investment will generate thousands of new jobs and economic opportunities across the region. TheONxpressCivil Joint Venture iscomprisedof Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. and FCC Canada Ltd. This multidisciplinary team leads the delivery of civil and track worksleveragingglobalexpertiseto introduce innovative solutions across the GO Transit network.
What Youll Do
Assistin preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
Perform basic reconciliations for general ledger accounts andassistwith fixed asset tracking.
Ensure financial records areaccurateandmaintainedin compliance with company policies.
Support in resolving routine accounting discrepancies.
Assistwith cash flow reporting and basic forecasting.
Help prepare documentation for audits and support audit processes.
Ensuretimelyandaccuratebooking of transactions in SAP with proper documentation.
Assistwith posting accruals and verifying supporting documentation.
Prepare simple balance sheet reconciliations under supervision.
Respond to internal inquiriesregardingfinancial data.
Provide support to other departments (e.g. Procurement Project Controls) as needed.
Assistwith client audit requirements and basic reconciliations.
Perform data entry and prepare simple summaries or reports using Excel.
Take onadditionaltasks as assigned.
What You Bring
Bachelors degree or diploma in Accounting Finance or related field.
3-5years of accounting experience (internship or co-op experience preferred).
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Willingness to learn and adaptina dynamic environment.
Knowledge of IFRS is an asset but notrequired.
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is an asset.
Expected compensation for this role is between $75000.00-95000.00annually. Base salaries are determined according to multiple factors including skills experience and potential impact on the role.
