Compensation: $20$25/hour

We take a hands-on approach to operations leasing and asset management with a strong focus on execution and performance.
Role Overview
Freestone is seeking a Leasing Intern to support day-to-day leasing operations across our multifamily portfolio. This role provides hands-on exposure to leasing marketing and property operations working closely with the Leasing Manager and broader team.
The Leasing Intern will assist with application coordination lead management and unit marketing helping ensure leasing deals move efficiently from initial inquiry through signed lease.
Responsibilities
Leasing & Lead Management Support:
Assist in managing inbound leasing inquiries from platforms such as StreetEasy Zillow and internal systems
Track and organize lead flow to ensure no opportunities are missed
Application & Deal Flow Coordination:
Support the application process by organizing documents and tracking applicant progress
Assist in reviewing application materials for completeness
Help coordinate approvals lease generation and move-in logistics
Work closely with leasing and operations teams to ensure smooth deal execution
Conduct basic market research including rent comps and competitor analysis
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Work with property management and operations teams to communicate unit readiness and maintenance updates
Assist with internal reporting and tracking leasing performance metrics
Support ad hoc projects related to leasing marketing and portfolio performance

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable interacting with prospective tenants and working in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel throughout Brooklyn for showings and property visits
Positive proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
Interest in real estate leasing or property management
