Job Description
Role Summary
The Engineer Equipment II will support multiple wireless telecom projects by managing equipment engineering procurement financial tracking and logistics. This role works closely with Equipment Engineering Project Management GCs vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate forecasting ordering delivery and financial control of network equipment. Strong coordination analytical and project management skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Engineering & Logistics Support
- Provide Engineering and Design support for all equipment across multiple project types.
- Create Engineering Orders (EOs) and Material Requests (MRs).
- Support the equipment engineering team with equipment order logistics and tracking.
- Forecast future equipment needs based on project start dates in FUZE/SPM.
- Ensure proper tracking receipt acceptance and documentation of all equipment components.
- Oversee equipment procurement delivery and optimization.
Financial & Purchase Order Management
- Manage and track project financials related to equipment spending.
- Create track manage and receive Purchase Orders (POs).
- Monitor all equipment expenditures and ensure alignment with project budgets.
- Prepare purchase orders and coordinate timely vendor invoicing and payment.
Vendor GC and CrossFunctional Coordination
- Coordinate with General Contractors vendors and suppliers to ensure timely equipment deliveries and accurate invoicing.
- Work closely with internal engineering and project teams to align schedules and requirements.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and priorities.
Project Support & Reporting
- Track equipment against project plans and schedules.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of equipment status.
- Assist with resolving equipmentrelated issues impacting project delivery.
MustHave Skills & Qualifications
- BS/BA in Engineering Computer Science Electronics OR 3 years of experience related to Macro Cell Site Build.
- Experience in the wireless telecom industry preferably Macro New Site Build or Modification projects.
- Strong understanding of equipment lifecycle management in telecom environments.
- Excellent verbal written analytical and communication skills.
- Strong project management planning and time management skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently under time pressure.
- Strong problemsolving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace including advanced data analysis (Pivot Tables VLOOKUP).
- Teamplayer mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions.
Desired / Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working with Verizon or Verizon tools (e.g. FUZE SPM).
- Knowledge or familiarity with Samsung RAN equipment.
- Subject matter expertise in telecom technologies.
- Knowledge of RF Transport and Wireless Construction.
- Understanding of HUB CRAN and DRAN architectures.
- Engineering Planning or Operations knowledge of 5G Wireless Networks.
- Power Space and Cooling knowledge.
- Ability to manage changing guidelines competing priorities and fastpaced environments.
