Compensation Range
The base pay scale for this position is $156576.13 - $173563.63. In addition this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors including but not limited to: scope of role level of experience education accomplishments internal equity budget and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doing
JOB DESCRIPTION
2ndAssist APP
Schedule :
4-day work week Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Fridays 7a-5p
40hr/week
No weekend nights and holidays
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- 2nd assisting ORs
- 1stassisting as needed
- OR room set up
- Tray opening and instrument handling
- H&Ps/PSS medical clearances as delegated by management
- Post Op Checks
General Requirements:
PA:
- Previous OR experience
- Bachelors or masters degree from an accredited school of physician assistant studies
- NYS PA license
- NCCPA Board certification as a PA
- DEA
- ACLS/BLS certification
- Infection Control certificate
NP:
- Previous OR experience
- Masters or doctoral degree from an accredited school of nursing with a specialty certification in Family Practice Adult gerontological or Acute Care
- licensure as a NP and RN in the state of NY
- board certification as an FNP AGNP or ANP
- RNFA certification
- DEA
- ACLS/BLS certification
- Infection Control certificate
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Physician Assistant in hospital based or related acute care setting Physician Assistant in hospital based or related acute care setting 1-2 plus
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs). d Physical Therapists.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Indoor area with frequent exposure Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust fumes temperature and noise. Examples: patient care providers and laboratory technicians.
HAZARDS OSHA
Category 1 Tasks that involve exposure to blood body fluids tissues and other potentially infectious materials.
