Job Duties:

Conceptualizes plans and executes digital and/or print design to support the strategic objectives of the institution; creates on-brand compelling visual assets used to inform educate inspire and/or persuade.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with other creative professionals engages in and responds to creative feedback manages project workflow and timing maintains files and follows established work unit processes
  • Creates designs and produces artwork per project specifications through various mediums
  • Answers questions and provides information and problem resolution options to clients and stakeholders
  • Analyzes and identifies cost effective options to meet project requirements
  • Applies creative expertise within established brand and style guidelines
  • Schedules logistics secures resources organizes and monitors art production projects adhering to established timelines and expectations

Additional duties specific to the position:

  • Promote the philosophy and objectives of the athletic program; to include adhering to and enforcing all departmental policies and procedures as well as rules and regulations of the university governing sport conference(s) and the National Collegiate Athletic Associate (NCAA).
  • Design and produce high-quality graphics and creative media for the athletic department and its programs to advance and execute the brand and creative strategies of the department and university.
  • Support the content management of the athletic department social media accounts to ensure alignment of department and university marketing branding and creative strategies.
  • Assist in the development of creative concepts and integrated campaigns while evaluating and ensuring alignment with established brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
  • Assist with photography videography and digital needs as part of the Athletics Communication team.
  • Organize and maintain digital asset libraries including photos templates and design files.
  • Ensure all content adheres to NCAA governing sport conference(s) and institutional policies and guidelines.
  • Provide additional departmental support to and tasks assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Other Duties:

  • Complete required trainings and professional development as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of brand management and maintaining visual identity standards
  • Familiarity with athletics culture recruiting and fan engagement strategies
  • Understanding of social media platforms and content trends particularly in collegiate athletics
  • Strong visual design and storytelling skills with the ability to create compelling on-brand graphics
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and motion graphics/video editing tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and conflict management
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills both orally and written.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Associates Degree to be completed by May 31 2026
  • One year of demonstrated experience working in graphic design or related field

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution to be completed by May 31 2026
  • Two years of demonstrated experience working in collegiate athletics with responsibility in graphic design and creative content

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this position is: $44000 - $47000 annually.
