About the role
We areseekinga dedicated and skilled Property and Maintenance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of the Property Team Coordinator ensuring the upkeep and functionality of school facilities and grounds. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance repairs and liaising with contractors tomaintaina safe and welcoming environment.
This position is available as a full-timerole.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform or arrange necessary repairs and maintenance of equipment.
Conduct building maintenance tasks such as repairing locks doors furniture light fittings and plumbing; patching holes; touch-up painting; andassistingwith renovations and refurbishments.
Prepare andmaintainplay areas grassed areas and sports fields including line marking.
Plant andmaintaintrees shrubs and gardens.
Waste Management
Liaise with grounds and property sub-contractors.
Report non-programmed maintenance needs to the Property Team Coordinator
Essential Criteria
Christian ofReformed/Evangelical persuasion active in a church and able to whole-heartedly subscribe toTyndales Educational Creed
Trade background favourableorRelevant experience in maintenance and buildingrepair horticulture.
Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
Able to fulfil the Inherent Requirements of the position.
Strong communicationand teamwork skills.
Knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards.
First aid qualified (or willingness to obtain)
The commencement of this position will be by negotiation.
