Description

Find your purpose as the Workplace Violence Prevention Program Coordinator at CentraCare! As the Program Coordinator you will provide strategic direction and leadership for the CentraCare workplace violence program including developing implementing and sustaining a comprehensive workplace violence prevention program to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients visitors and staff. This role leads organizational efforts to prevent identify respond to and mitigate risks related to workplace violence including physical verbal and behavioral threats.

The Program Coordinator collaborates with clinical leaders security human resources employee health risk management and legal teams to establish policies procedures and reporting mechanisms aligned with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Key responsibilities include overseeing threat assessment processes coordinating incident response and follow up managing data tracking and trend analysis and leading staff education and training programs. Serves as a subject matter expert and program owner monitoring program effectiveness through metrics and continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a culture of safety accountability and early intervention across the organization.

Schedule:

  • Full-time 80 hours every two weeks
  • Day shift Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
  • Onsite at the St. Cloud Hospital with travel to other CentraCare sites

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay begins at $68952 per year; exact wage determined by years of related experience

  • Salary range: $68952 - $103438.40 per year

    • Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or 2 yr degree in Nursing Social Work Healthcare Leadership Criminal Justice Community Health or related field and 2-4 yrs experience.
  • Has strong skills in project management data analysis education/training Microsoft software communication and organizational skills.
  • 1 year of experience in education development.
  • 1 year of workplace violence prevention program management experience.
  • 1 year of presentation/public speaking experience.
  • 1 year of leading and facilitating teamwork.
  • A valid Minnesota Class D drivers license and a driving record in good condition.

Core Functions:

  • Manage CentraCare workplace violence program.
  • Establish vision and direction for workplace violence prevention response and management.
  • Maintain workplace violence related policies and pertinent site-specific workplace violence related policies and procedures.
  • Identify education and training gaps and develop education and training plans to close gaps.
  • Provide and coordinate education and training through presentations development of computer-based learning and simulations.
  • Conduct site/department workplace violence assessments.
  • Analyze workplace violence reports and assessment; provide recommendations based on trends.
  • Analyze and report workplace violence findings recommendations and trends to CentraCare Executives.
  • Facilitate and organize work groups to achieve goals established by the CentraCare workplace violence committee.
  • Research and stay current on best practices and changing cultures.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community partners.
  • Work closely with the incident reporting software system administrator.
  • Liaison with Workplace Violence curriculum instructorsto oversee/influence aggressive behavior response training and simulation.
  • Identify develop and provide resources to frequently.
  • Assist sites with site specific gap analysis and provide consultation as needed.
  • Participate in statewide work groups work groups initiatives.
  • Integrate current workplace violence programs across CentraCare.
  • Create and submit annual state reports per statute.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and community partners to create and maintain WPV event action plans.
