Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit Program Facilitator

Join CentraCare as a Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit Program Facilitator where you will play a key role in designing planning and leading therapeutic programming for patients in our inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit. This includes delivering education groups activity groups and therapeutic interventions that support the emotional cognitive and social wellbeing of older adults.

Working closely with the interdisciplinary team- you will help develop individualized Plans of Care participate in team meetings and communicate patient progress and performance effectively. You will document therapeutic interventions patient engagement and goal progression usingindividualized care plans individual treatment plansprogress notes and flow sheets.

In this role you will also provide daytoday operational supervision instruction and support to Mental Health Associates (MHAs) to ensure consistent highquality delivery of programming. Additional responsibilities include ordering supplies and educational materials maintaining an organized and safe therapeutic environment and contributing to Performance Improvement initiatives by offering recommendations that enhance patient care and program operations.

Schedule:

• Full Time- 80 hours every two weeks
• Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm
• Could include a weekend rotation in the future

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay at $23.29 per hour however we pay more for experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) with relevant experience in developing activity programs for geriatric behavior health patients OR

• Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation with relevant experience in developing activity programs for geriatric behavior health patients OR

• Bachelors degree in Psychology with relevant experience in developing activity programs for geriatric behavior health patients.

• Good verbal and written communications skills required.
