Job Summary

Position Function:

Conduct alcohol safety education classes for individuals convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) first offense. Classes are held all over the state of Mississippi.

Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.

Salary Grade:UC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilitators must have a bachelor degree in the social science or related discipline demonstrated public speaking experiences be bondable and reside within a reasonable driving distance to the class. Classes are located at various cities around the state. Assistant Facilitators should be employed in law enforcement be bondable and live within reasonable driving distance to the class. Facilitators are paid $136.00 per session worked and Assistant instructors are paid $113.00 per session worked. Approximately 16 hours of training is required prior to the assumptions of duties. Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor degree in social science or related discipline area.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Must have background in mental health or law enforcement.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/classroom environment.
No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
No or very limited physical effort required.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
