Summary:
The SecurityGuard working independently or as part of a teamis responsible forthe protection safeguarding and security of assets personnel and others at his/herassigned site.This position may include activity atan assignedlocation.This position is supervised by theSite Lead.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work with Clients and the public using tact and courtesy.

- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions including company policies and procedures.
- As directed bySupervisor and /or Clientperform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
- As directed bySupervisor and /or Clientobserveand record events accurately.
- As directed bySupervisor and /or Clientuse common sense and good judgment when making decisions within scope of authority.
- As directed bySupervisor and /or Clientto learn and apply specialized security/protection techniquesmethodsand procedures.
- As directed bySupervisor and /or Clientanalyze problems and situations and take prompt effective action.
- As directed bySupervisor and /or Clientenforce regulations and rules effectively.
- As directed bySupervisor and /or Clientrecognize an emergency or immediate threat and takeappropriate actionin a mature controlled manner applying existing policies and guidelines.
- As directed by Supervisor and /or Clientto perform the physical demands of the job.
- Skill inestablishingand maintaining cooperativeworking relationships with others.
- As directed bySupervisor and /or Clientwork directly with the public conveying information andassistanceeffectivelyon a daily basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Six (6) months of experience dealing with the public.
- Abilityto obtain a Security Guard license issued by the State of Alaska.
- Mustpass a background check.
- Mustobtain basic first aid and CPR certification withinthree(3)months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six (6)monthsofexperience in a work environment requiring safety and security precautions;i.e.previousmilitary lawenforcementor security experience.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs routine patrol of assigned site todeterdetectand reportsecurity or safety problems preserve order and protect property. Patrols may be performed on foot.
- Performs patrol duties according to Goldbelt Securityspolicies and procedures and the Clients specific instructions.
- Corrects unsafe conditions which may pose riskof injury or death to people atthe site.
- Completes forms and reports which may include Incident Reports Citizen ArrestForms and Criminal Trespass Forms.
- Notifies local Emergency response agencyin the event ofan emergency. Maintains order at the site until their arrival andrendersbasic first aid or CPR as needed.
- Protects the interests and property of Goldbelt Security and the Client.
- Approaches unauthorized persons on site todeterminetheir intentions. Warns persons of rule infractions orviolations andfollows Goldbelt Security Policies and Procedures.
- Calls police or fire department in cases of emergency. Maintains order at the location until their arrival andrendersbasic first aid or CPR as needed.
- Provides assistance tovisitors.
- Performs other incidentaland related duties as assigned.
