Property Officer

Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking a Property Officer to manage properties that support staff operations and Traditional Owners across urban and remote Northern Territory communities. This role offers the opportunity to apply your property expertise in a purposedriven organisation where your work truly makes a difference.

About the Role:

As a Property Officer you will be part of a dedicated Property & Assets team responsible for coordinating and supporting the management of residential and commercial properties across the NLCs seven regions.

You will be involved in leasing inspections maintenance coordination and contractor engagement ensuring properties are safe compliant and fit for purpose. Working closely with internal teams regional staff landlords and service providers this role offers a diverse workload across urban and remote contexts with opportunities to build strong relationships and contribute to continuous improvement in property management practices.

The role is ideal for someone who can balance daytoday operational responsibilities with effective stakeholder engagement while contributing to meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

What you will Bring:

You are an experienced property professional with a sound understanding of residential and/or commercial property management. You are highly organised detailfocused and confident working with leases compliance requirements and maintenance coordination and you communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including contractors landlords and internal teams.

In addition to this you will have:

• Qualifications in property management within residential and/or commercial environments.
• A minimum of two years experience in residential or commercial property management.
• Experience in housing or property management with knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 1999 or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply leases contracts and relevant legislation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and property management systems.
• A current C Class Drivers Licence and the willingness and ability to undertake regular remote travel by 4WD or light aircraft.

• A base salary of $76946 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15900 Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefit up to $2650 per year.
• Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
• District allowance of up to $4884 (DA2) per annum for individuals with dependents and $2678 (DA1) without dependents.
• Generous leave provisions 5 weeks annual leave leaving loading 18 days personal leave;
• Paid Christmas close down;
• Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3177
