Director Corporate Strategic Development
Location: Santa Clara CA
Reports to: Head of Corporate Strategic Development Corporate Strategy & Marketing
Role Overview
The Director Corporate Strategic Development will play a critical role in evaluating structuring and advancing strategic initiatives investments investor communications and partnerships. This position combines rigorous financial analysis crossfunctional diligence and seniorlevel communication to support highimpact corporate decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrated deal execution models including sensitivity analyses and clearly articulated investment rationales to support project review and decisionmaking.
- Prepare senior decisionmakerlevel materials that clearly communicate projectlevel opportunities risks assumptions and value drivers.
- Partner with companywide crossfunctional teams (finance legal operations technology strategy) to incorporate comprehensive diligence into project valuecreation outcomes.
- Provide analytical and research support to the Chief Economist including data preparation and aggregation macroeconomic and industry analysis and development of presentation materials.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in financial modeling and accounting.
- Prior experience in sellside or buyside equity research or investment banking / private equity strongly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering and/or Finance/Economics preferred.
- Strong analytical rigor business judgment and ability to synthesize & communicate complex information for executive audiences.
Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials core values.

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location hire grade job-related knowledge skills experience and with consideration of internal equity of our current team addition to a comprehensive benefits package candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program as applicable.
For all sales roles the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
