As a Director of Recreation at The Allure Group you would be part of a winning team doing meaningful work to improve residents quality of life health and comfort.

Director of Recreation Responsibilities

• Plan develop organize implement evaluate and direct the recreation programs
• Communicate with residents and families as necessary and involve them in the planning of facility recreation programs
• Consult with staff interdepartmental personnel etc. to solve the needs and problems of residents through the development of recreation programs
• Review and address complaints and grievances made by residents
• Develop and maintain a recreation schedule
• Ensure that all recreation staff incorporate residents care plans in daily activities
• Assist in the recruitment interviewing and selection of personnel for the recreation department
• Maintain an adequate supply and equipment for the recreation department
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth personal interest and positive emphasis

Director of Recreation Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• NYS license as a recreation specialist or as a recreation professional
• Completion of a training course approved by NYS
• 2 or more years of experience in a social or recreation program
• Previous experience in a resident activities program in a health care setting
• COVID-19 Vaccination
