Hours: Tuesday and Thursday evenings Weekend mornings.

Summary

Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center is a dynamic community-focused facility dedicated to promoting health and wellness. We are seeking energetic knowledgeable and certifiedAqua Group Fitness Instructors to join our team.

We are looking to expand our aquatic fitness offerings at Sunset Pool and introduce engaging water-based classes that meet the needs and interests of our community. As an Aqua Group Fitness Instructor you will lead safe effective and motivating aquatic workouts designed for participants of varying fitness levels and abilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for water fitness strong communication skills and a commitment to creating an inclusive positive class environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead aqua group fitness classes according to the established aquatic schedule and program guidelines.
• Design and implement safe effective and engaging water-based workouts for all fitness levels.
• Provide clear verbal instruction demonstrations modifications and encouragement to participants.
• Ensure participant safety while promoting proper technique and water fitness principles.
• Foster a welcoming motivating and supportive aquatic environment that promotes member success.
• Maintain awareness of current trends and best practices in aquatic fitness programming.

Qualifications

• Current Group Fitness and/or Aqua Fitness Certification.
• Specialized aquatic certifications preferred (AFAA Aqua Aqua Zumba WATERinMOTION etc.).
• Current CPR AED and Lifeguard certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of aquatic exercise principles anatomy and water safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive inclusive class experience for all participants.
• Previous experience teaching aqua group fitness classes preferred.
• Knowledge of proper aquatic equipment use and safety protocols.
