The Opportunity

Reporting to the Team Leader Customer and Business Services you will be responsible for handling enquiries and correspondence processing payments maintaining accurate records and providing administrative support to Council departments. Your work will ensure smooth operations and contribute to a high level of service delivery to our community. Youll also assist with record management coordinate meetings and support staff training in compliance with legislative and Council requirements.

The ideal candidate will hold a TAFE Certificate III in Office or Business Administration Secretarial Studies or equivalent. You will have experience delivering excellent customer service handling cash accurately and using document management systems. Experience in local government is desirable. You should be confident using Microsoft Office and be well-practised in maintaining accurate organised records.

To succeed in this role you need strong attention to detail professional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Youll be organised reliable and capable of providing guidance and support to colleagues contributing positively to the team and Councils service to the community. An understanding of information and record management in a public service environment including the State Records Act 1998 (NSW) is advantageous.
