Job Summary:

The Department of Dermatology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist to join our expanding academic faculty to deliver comprehensive medical and procedural care for patients with skin hair and nail disorders in an outpatient clinical setting at the University of Colorado Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and possess a clear interest in developing a focused clinical niche within the department that complements existing programs and advances specialized patient care education and scholarly activity. They should enjoy working in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment and contribute to our mission of clinical excellence education and access.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of dermatologic conditions

Perform common dermatologic procedures such as skin biopsies. Cryotherapy electrosurgery and excision of benign and malignant lesions.

Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with primary care physicians and specialists when needed.

Supervise and teach dermatology residents fellows and medical students during outpatient clinics.

Educate patients on skin health disease prevention and sun protection.

Participate in departmental conferences and contribute to the academic environment through mentorship scholarly activities and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

Assistant Professor:

MD/DO degree

Completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency

Board Certification or Board Eligible in Dermatology

Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Colorado

Associate Professor:

MD/DO degree and 4 years of experience in an academic setting

Completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency

Board Certification or Board Eligible in Dermatology

Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Colorado

Preferred Qualifications:

Interest in teaching and working in an academic setting

Interest in developing a focused clinical niche within the department that complements existing programs

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated commitment to excellence in clinical care and teamwork

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the clinic and Department of Family Medicine faculty and staff.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor $263638 $324748. Total Annual Compensation (including productivity-based incentive) is $363638 - $424748

Associate Professor $288829 - $345560. Total Annual Compensation (including productivity-based incentive) is $388829 - $445560.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
