Summary of Job Purpose:
- Provides clerical receptionist and communication services for the Unit. Population served based on scope of services in the department.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Ability to multi task.
- License Registration or Certification Requirements: N/A
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and process information between the health care team the patient and family/SO.
- Assists RNs to coordinate activities in the preparation of the patient record to ensure accuracy and completeness. Start assembly of charts the day prior to the surgery date.
- Prioritizes organizes receives and collates pertinent data on the patient chart.
- Generates patient computer labels and affixes to endo pain management and minor procedures charts for the next day. Maintains packets.
- Acknowledge patient arrivals escort to bed area and notify the nurse.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform appropriate computer skills. Proficient with Stat Schedules and Cerner order entry and results review.
- Maintain and Model REACH Values (Respect Excellence Accountability Compassion Honor).
- Demonstrates regular reliable and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
