A Day in the Life

Join our Niche Diagnostics team as a Demand Planner III at Thermo Fisher Scientific where youll contribute to global healthcare and scientific this role youll develop and manage comprehensive demand forecasts while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure excellent customer service. Youll use advanced analytics and planning tools to support strategic decision-making contributing to our mission to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.

Working with commercial operations and finance teams youll facilitate demand review processes analyze market trends and provide valuable insights to improve forecast accuracy. Youll contribute to new product launches portfolio management and sales inventory and operations planning (SIOP) processes. This position offers the opportunity to implement improvement initiatives while developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization. This is an individual contributor role suited for a mid-level professional looking to deepen their expertise in demand planning.

This position is fully on-site at our Fremont CA site.

Keys to Success

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree plus 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning demand forecasting or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management Business Administration Operations Management Engineering or related field.
  • APICS certification or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (QAD SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and statistical modeling skills with demonstrated forecast accuracy improvement.
  • Experience with SIOP processes and demand planning systems (Forecast Pro IBP Demantra).
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional team collaboration abilities.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to guide decision-making.
  • Experience analyzing customer demand patterns and market trends to develop accurate forecasts.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Experience with new product launches and product lifecycle management preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical industry regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and improvement-oriented mindset.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United Stateswithoutsponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check whichincludes a drug screening.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $81800.00$110000.00.
