We are seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Installer (06 Licensed) to support Research & Development data center environments in Redmond and Totem is a true hands-on infrastructure installation role focused on rack and cabinet builds fiber and copper cabling and physical deployment of data center infrastructure within pre-production lab environments.
This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in low-voltage installation structured cabling telecommunications or field service environments.
You will work in advanced server environments where new technologies are built tested and validated before broader ideal candidate brings strong field experience maintains high safety standards communicates clearly and takes pride in well-executed physically demanding infrastructure work.
Responsibilities:
- Install build and secure network/server racks and cabinets
- Pull route terminate test and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling
- Install and support low-voltage and limited energy systems
- Perform installation and break/fix troubleshooting on network and server infrastructure
- Conduct inspections on HVAC low voltage and air systems as required
- Receive move and position equipment within the facility
- Maintain inventory of fiber copper hardware and tools
- Document work within ticketing systems (e.g. ADO or equivalent)
- Monitor and respond to safety and security issues
- Operate or learn to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Support lab consolidation and infrastructure deployment projects
- Assist in testing infrastructure prior to enterprise-scale deployment
- Read and interpret installation diagrams rack elevations and cabling layouts
Work Breakdown:
- 80% Hands-on installation and maintenance
- 10% Coordination and meetings
- 10% Documentation and administrative updates
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Electrical Limited Energy 06 License (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade coursework preferred)
- 57 years of hands-on field experience in infrastructure telecommunications or installation environments
- Minimum 3 years installing and maintaining network or telecommunications equipment
- Hands-on experience with rack-and-stack cabling or physical infrastructure installation
- Experience installing and troubleshooting fiber optic systems
- Experience in structured cabling low-voltage installation or field installation environments strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Clear communication skills and ability to provide timely updates
- Familiarity with OSHA and safety standards
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Redmond and Totem Lake
Salary Range
At Blueprint we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors including skills education responsibilities experience and geographic market.
For candidates based in Washington State the anticipated salary range is $80000 to $95000 annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience skills and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidates qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
