Role Overview
The Senior IFRS17 Data Engineer is responsible for designing building and maintaining high-performance scalable and reliable data engineering solutions for IFRS17 reporting in the insurance domain. The role involves Python and PySpark development SQL-based data analysis ETL pipeline creation cloud deployment and technical leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Python and PySpark for high-performance scalable solutions.
- Design and implement data engineering and ETL pipelines using PySpark.
- Perform data analysis and validation in the insurance domain (IFRS17).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements priorities and technical solutions.
- Mentor and guide engineers providing technical leadership code reviews and architectural guidance.
- Maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams and specifications.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and implement improvements in systems and processes.
- Apply Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) to lead and manage the team effectively.
- Drive technical innovation optimize system performance and resolve complex issues.
