Job Title: Senior Mainframe Developer IMS DB2 COBOL File-AID
Location: Toronto ON (Hybrid: 24 days/week at office)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer / Designer with deep expertise in IMS DB2 and COBOL. The candidate will independently analyze IMS segments design and implement end-to-end solutions lead junior developers and support database processing. This role requires strong problem-solving skills adaptability and the ability to learn independently in a pod with limited mainframe experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop unit test and deploy mainframe applications using COBOL JCL SQL DB2 IMS.
Analyze IMS segments and DB2 objects; participate in end-to-end field mapping and detailed design.
Lead and mentor junior developers within the pod.
Work with mainframe tools like Endevor File-AID CA-7 for deployment and batch processing.
Collaborate using tools such as INSYNC Jira Confluence ServiceNow.
Maintain awareness of AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot and VSCode.
Optional exposure: Kafka and RESTful APIs for integration.
