Job Title: Oracle Financials Support Engineer (DevOps & Automation)
Role Summary
The DevOps Engineer / Senior Software Engineer is responsible for operating supporting and enhancing Oracle finance-related applications. This includes systems such as General Ledger (GL) Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) Essbase and DataStage.
The role focuses on:
- Application support and system reliability
- Automation and scripting
- Ensuring system availability and SLA compliance
You will work closely with development teams business stakeholders and senior management to support production operations system enhancements and onboarding of new applications.
Key Responsibilities
Application Operations & Support
- Provide day-to-day support for Oracle finance applications:
- Corporate General Ledger (GL)
- Country GLs
- Financial Accounting Hub (FAH)
- Oracle OBI
- Essbase
- Oracle DataStage
- Corporate General Ledger (GL)
- Monitor overnight batch jobs and troubleshoot failures
- Diagnose and resolve production issues (application data FTP server connectivity)
- Ensure system uptime and adherence to SLAs
- Provide after-hours and weekend production support when required
Automation & Scheduling
- Design and implement automation solutions for operational processes
- Develop and maintain Autosys job schedules
- Build and enhance scripts using Unix and SQL
- Onboard new workflows into scheduling systems
Change Release & Environment Support
- Support system patches upgrades and enhancements
- Execute test procedures and assist with UAT and production deployments
- Maintain documentation for system changes and releases
- Ensure compliance with change management processes
Security & Controls
- Review and manage user access and security administration
- Ensure access aligns with business roles and compliance requirements
Reporting & Financial Processing Support
- Support PeopleSoft reporting cycles (month-end quarter-end)
- Ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity
- Monitor reporting workflows and meet strict deadlines
- Maintain:
- Chart of accounts
- Reporting hierarchies
- Chart of accounts
- Support regulatory statutory and management reporting
Business & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
- Conduct interviews workshops and solution discussions
- Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
- Support system design and data migration activities
- Assist in test planning test case development and execution

Required Skills:
Experience (Years): 4-6 Essential Skills: Work with project teams throughout the organization to design implement and manage CDN infrastructure using Akamai to ensure high availability performance and scalability for customer facing applications and business processes. Handle multiple priorities and assignments with excellence and precision. Be a part of a 24/7/365 organization (some after hours support is expected as part of normal on-call rotation). Directly support line of business development teams provide guidance to them on implementation and changes for customer facing applications Develop and maintain security protocols and measures to protect CDN infrastructure from cyber threats. Monitor and analyze network performance identifying and resolving issues to optimize content delivery of critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Akamai CDN solutions with existing systems and applications. Collaborate with information security teams to implement DDoS protection strategies and other security measures in the CDN. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams regarding CDN and security best practices. Work closely with vendor and professional service teams on delivery related activities and strategy. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. OR similar work experience. Strong understanding of network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS DNS TCP/IP). Proven experience as a CDN Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on -depth knowledge of Content Delivery Network technologies including caching load balancing and content optimization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience supporting 24/7/365 customer facing applications at enterprise scale. Awareness and experience with cybersecurity tools and practices such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Python Bash) a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH) are a plus but not required.
