We are seeking a talented individual to join our Cash and Trading Operations team at Mercer. This role will be based in Boston MA. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Investment Trading Operations Specialist is responsible for executing daily monthly and ad hoc processes to support trading execution reconciliation data integrity system administration and documentation of procedures.
This role involves ensuring accurate loading and reconciliation of daily data into trading and reporting systems while collaborating closely with Operations associates Portfolio Management Client Service Strategy and Technology teams to resolve issues and fulfill ad hoc requests. The Analyst serves as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders providing timely support on servicing issues and other operational needs.
We will count on you to:
Manage daily morning processes i.e. validate system pricing and holdings data monitor plan funded status measurements and resolve day-over-day outlier activity.
Provide operational support and efficiencies to client implementation & onboarding teams to deliver customized investment solutions utilizing existing platforms models and procedures.
Perform system administration duties i.e. new plan fund account setups and portfolio allocation targets.
Perform daily client reporting.
Draft trade instruction letters for third-party product managers and client custodians on behalf of portfolio managers.
Perform month-end plan reconciliation workflows Collect and aggregate monthly pension statements.
What you need to have:
A minimum of two years of experience in fund accounting custody or fund administration.
Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field of study preferred.
Understanding of the concepts and derivation of the Net Asset Value calculation for a wide range of investment vehicles.
Demonstrated ability to work in an environment where adherence to procedures and controls is critical.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.
