This is a remote position.

Job Title: Evaluator

Type: Full Time

Rate: $6AUD/hour (roughly 45k per month PHP)



Role Summary


The Evaluator is responsible for assessing student competency in accordance with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) standards and the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.

This role focuses on ensuring all assessmentsparticularly Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and course-based submissionsare accurate consistent and aligned with national training package requirements.

The Evaluator plays a key role in maintaining academic integrity compliance and student success outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Assessment & Evaluation

Assess student submissions including:

o RPL evidence portfolios

o Workplace documentation

o Written assessments and projects

o Determine competency against:

o Units of Competency

o Training Package requirements

o Provide structured actionable feedback for students


2. Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure all assessments align with:

o ASQA standards

o Internal RTO policies and frameworks

o Maintain consistency in assessment decisions

o Participate in validation and moderation activities


3. Documentation & Reporting

Record assessment outcomes accurately in LMS/CRM systems (e.g. Zoho aXcelerate Moodle)

Maintain audit-ready records and documentation

Monitor student progress and flag risks or delays


4. Student Support & Communication

Communicate outcomes clearly and professionally

Provide guidance for resubmissions where required

Work closely with Student Support and Account Managers to improve completion rates


5. Continuous Improvement

Contribute to assessment tool refinement

Identify gaps in evidence or assessment design

Stay updated with training package and compliance changes


Key Requirements:


Qualifications

Relevant vocational qualifications in the field being assessed

Experience

Minimum 23 years experience in:

o RTO assessment training delivery or related education roles

o RPL assessment (highly preferred)

o Strong understanding of:

o Competency-based assessment frameworks

o Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)


Technical Skills

Experience using LMS/CRM platforms (e.g. Zoho Moodle aXcelerate)

Strong documentation and reporting capability

Ability to interpret units of competency and training packages
