Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Vice President Technology to lead the organisations technology vision strategy and execution. This role is integral to driving digital transformation enabling scalable growth and ensuring the organisations technology landscape remains secure resilient and future-ready.

As a member of the executive leadership team the VP Technology will partner closely with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into robust innovative technology solutions while building a high-performing engineering organisation.


Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and own the enterprise technology roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation efficiency and competitive advantage
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies with clear business impact and ROI
  • Provide strategic guidance during technology investments vendor selection and business transformations

Engineering & Product Excellence

  • Oversee architecture development and deployment of scalable secure and high-performing platforms
  • Establish engineering best practices governance frameworks and quality standards
  • Drive modernisation initiatives including cloud adoption and microservices architecture
  • Ensure disciplined execution of product delivery with a focus on reliability and scalability

Infrastructure Security & Governance

  • Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical systems
  • Lead enterprise-wide information security and compliance initiatives (SOC 2 ISO 27001 GDPR)
  • Oversee technology budgets cost optimisation and vendor management
  • Implement strong governance across IT operations and risk management

Organisation & Talent Leadership

  • Build lead and scale high-performing engineering and technology teams
  • Foster a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement
  • Develop leadership pipelines succession plans and capability frameworks
  • Champion diversity inclusion and a high-performance culture


Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline (Masters/MBA preferred)
  • 15 years of progressive experience in technology leadership
  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles (VP / SVP / CTO level)
  • Demonstrated success in scaling engineering organisations in growth or enterprise environments
  • Deep expertise in cloud ecosystems (AWS Azure or GCP) and modern software architectures
  • Strong understanding of information security compliance and risk frameworks
  • Experience managing large-scale technology budgets and delivering measurable ROI
  • Familiarity with Agile at scale and engineering performance metrics

Preferred Experience

  • Background in technology-driven industries such as SaaS FinTech HealthTech or E-commerce
  • Exposure to AI/ML data engineering and analytics platforms
  • Experience in mergers acquisitions or large-scale system integrations
  • Global team leadership across geographies and regulatory environments
