About the Job: We are seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer to drive the quality strategy design scalable automation frameworks and lead a high-performing QA this role you will work closely with cross-functional teamsincluding Engineering Product and DevOpsto ensure high-quality delivery across modern web API and enterprise applications.

Position Responsibilities:
Lead QA strategy planning and execution across multiple projects and teams
Design develop and scale robust automation frameworks for UI API and end-to-end testing
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA engineers fostering best practices and continuous improvement
Collaborate with Product Owners Developers and DevOps to ensure testability and quality throughout the SDLC
Drive end-to-end automation including building frameworks from scratch where required
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster releases
Oversee test planning test case design execution and defect management
Ensure comprehensive coverage across functional regression integration (SIT) and UAT testing
Work closely with release management and deployment teams to support smooth product releases
Establish QA standards documentation test architecture and governance practices
Analyze quality metrics and provide insights to stakeholders for continuous improvement
Act as a key escalation point for quality risks defects and production issues
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
10 years of software testing experience within Agile development teams
7 years of strong hands-on test automation experience
Proven experience leading QA teams or acting in a Lead/Architect capacity
Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium WebdriverIO REST Assured Postman or similar
Strong programming skills in Java Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
Demonstrated experience building automation frameworks from scratch
Hands-on experience with BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber Cypress Playwright TestNG etc.)
Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitHub Actions etc.)
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and testing types (UI API Functional Regression SIT UAT)
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA etc.)
Excellent communication stakeholder management and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP web testing
Exposure to performance testing and security testing practices
Experience in Agile Release Train environments (SAFe) or large-scale delivery programs
Benefits
Salary Range: $95000 to $100000 CAD/ year
The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location as well as job-related factors such as the candidates knowledge skills qualifications relevant experience and education/training.
