Job Summary
Senior QA Engineer API & Backend Testing

What is in it for you:
Salaried: $52-62 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $62-72 per hour.
6-month contract.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
Execute API and backend test cases using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
Validate pricing calculations and business rule execution.
Develop test scenarios for data-driven and rule-based systems.
Perform end-to-end testing across integrated systems.
Validate batch outputs including CSV files and API responses.
Contribute to test automation and regression testing.
What you will need to succeed:
10 years of experience in API and backend testing.
Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman RestAssured or similar solutions.
Strong understanding of test case design for data-driven systems.
Experience validating complex business logic including calculations and rules.
Ability to perform end-to-end testing across multiple integrated systems.
Experience testing financial systems or pricing calculations is considered an asset.
Knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium Cypress or similar tools is considered an asset.
Strong SQL and data validation skills are considered an asset.
Experience with batch testing and file-based validation including CSV files and exports is considered an asset.
Familiarity with performance or load testing tools is considered an asset.
