About the School / Company
This international Montessori kindergarten is located in the beautiful East Taihu Lake Suzhou Bay in the central area of Wujiang Taihu New Town. Founded by a couple of overseas returnees it is a member school of the American Montessori Society (AMS) a member of the Chinese affiliated association of the International Montessori Association and a member school of the Montessori Association of Utah USA. It is the only pure Montessori kindergarten in Suzhou where all teachers hold AMS or AMI certification. The campus covers 15 acres with a building area of approximately 10000 square meters an outdoor activity area of more than 7000 square meters and an investment of nearly 100 million yuan. Facilities include nearly 20 large-scale open teaching activity rooms constant temperature floor heating fresh air and air purification systems a 400 square meter indoor gymnasium with 7.5-meter-high ceilings an outdoor ecological farm a sky garden library a Chinese and foreign culture and science experience hall and a professional music classroom.

Position Overview
The Montessori Kindergarten Teacher will prepare and maintain an authentic Montessori classroom environment for children aged 2 to 6. This role involves conducting individualized and group lessons observing and documenting child progress and working alongside bilingual assistants and local teachers. The teacher will foster a respectful inclusive and peaceful classroom community while promoting English language acquisition through immersion.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
40 hours per week
Breaks scheduled according to daily routines

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain an authentic Montessori classroom environment covering practical life sensorial language math and cultural areas
Conduct individualized and group lessons based on Montessori pedagogy
Observe and document childrens progress adapting methods to meet developmental needs
Guide children in developing social-emotional cognitive and motor skills through Montessori materials
Promote English language acquisition through immersive natural communication
Work with bilingual assistants and local teachers to ensure a cohesive learning experience
Communicate regularly with parents through meetings and progress reports
Cultivate a respectful inclusive and peaceful classroom community
Uphold Montessori standards of order cleanliness and child autonomy
Participate in all kindergarten activities including marketing events like open days

Native English speaker
Bachelors degree preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field
TESOL or TEFL certificate
Teaching experience preferred
