Position Overview
The Primary - Middle School ESL Teacher is responsible for preparing and delivering lessons assigning and correcting homework preparing tests and providing student support. The role includes classroom management parent communication and active participation in school activities and teaching research.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00 12:00 and 14:00 18:00
Maximum 25 lessons per week (each lesson is 40-45 minutes)
Class Structure
Class size: Standard primary and middle school class
Student age: 7 12 (primary) and 13 15 (middle school)
Teaching team per class:
o Lead ESL Teacher
o Assistant Teacher
o Homeroom Teacher (as applicable)
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver English lessons according to school teaching programme and textbooks
Assign and correct homework prepare tests and provide individualized tutoring
Maintain classroom discipline and foster a conducive learning environment
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student academic progress
Participate in teaching research open lessons teaching competitions and school events like Sports Day and Cultural Festival

Requirements
Native English speaker
Bachelor or master degree (related field such as English Literature or Education preferred for higher salary tier)
Clean health and criminal background check to obtain Chinese Z work visa
Passion for education with sound professional ethics and exemplary conduct
Strong communication skills organizational abilities and teamwork spirit
PGCE or State Teacher Certification plus 3 years full-time primary/middle school experience required for highest salary tier (25K-27K)
