Job Summary

Name of position: SVVP Security Development Consultant

Location: New York

Scope:

Executes the security control lifecycleproviding inputs on configuring deploying validating and refining controls based on results. Acts as the hands-on executor of SVVP technical requirements

Deployment of Security Controls:

Deploy security measures based on the SVVP framework to ensure proper protection across network access controls and data protection mechanisms.

Install and configure necessary tools for continuous security enforcement within the data center and across all migration environments.

Compliance Testing and Security Control Validation:

Compliance Test the integration of security protocols such as firewalls access control lists (ACLs) encryption tools etc. within the data center.

Validate the effectiveness of security controls based on defined security requirements and SOC 2 compliance criteria.

Operationalization of Security Controls:

Activate security controls to monitor and enforce security measures during the migration.

Coordinate the enforcement of security policies to protect infrastructure during the transition and reduce risk exposure.

Incident Response Compliance Testing:

Compliance Test incident response protocols to ensure readiness in case of breaches or security incidents during migration.

Ensure proper configuration of monitoring tools to detect respond and report security events in real-time.

Tasks & Duties:

5 years of experience in Security Audit / Automation

5 years of experience with SIEM Tools

5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure

7 years of Cybersecurity and IT control experience

7 years of experience performing formal control validation/testing

7 years of experience supporting compliance audits (SOC 2)

7 years of experience testing incident response procedures

7 years of experience supporting infrastructure and data center initiatives

7 years of experience testing escalation and breach notification processes

Required Skills:

a. Windows (Windows Server): Remove NetBackup client software. Clean up leftover registry keys and installation folders. Push Commvault agent via SCCM or manual install. Configure file system and SQL agent as applicable. Run test backup and restore for verification. b. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6 7 8 9) and CentOS: Uninstall NetBackup RPM packages. Verify all NetBackup daemons are terminated. Deploy Commvault client via Linux utilities. Configure FS agent and database agent (Oracle/DB2 Informix Postgress). Validate client registration. c. AIX (7.17.2 7.3): Remove NetBackup client packages Remove all Netbackup directories. Install Commvault client using SMIT or shell script. Apply FS and database agent configuration. Configure FS agent and database agent (Oracle/DB2 Informix Postgress). Test backup and restore. d. Solaris (10 11): Remove NetBackup program. Remove service startup scripts and rc links. Deploy Commvault client. Configure legacy filesystem and Oracle workloads. Configure FS agent and database agent (Oracle/DB2 Informix Postgress). Perform test backup and restore. e. VMware (6.7 7.0 8.0): Remove NetBackup snapshot tools from vCenter plugin. Deploy Commvault VSA proxy appliance or install agent where necessary. Configure VSA backup plan per vCenter and datastore. Run test backup and perform synthetic full test. Translate and recreate all NetBackup policies in Commvault. For each policy replicate full/incremental/differential frequency retention periods deduplication enablement and encryption parameters.

Required Education:

Bachelor in computer science or related field.
