- Location: Steger IL
- Duration: 08/13/2026 to 05/27/2027
- Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
- Position Type: Contract
- Working Hours: 35 - 37.5 hours weekly from Monday to Friday 30 min un-paid lunch.
- Student Age Group: Elemenatry School
- Case Load: Approximately 60 students
Responsibilities: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Assessment and Diagnosis: Administer and interpret standardized tests and other tools to identify students speech language and hearing needs.
- Intervention Planning: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students specific communication goals.
- Therapy Delivery: Provide individual and group speech and language therapy utilizing appropriate strategies and techniques.
- Collaboration: Work closely with parents teachers administrators and other specialists to support students communication development.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously monitor student progress and make adjustments to intervention plans as needed.
- Consultation: Serve as a resource for staff and families offering guidance and strategies to support students with speech and language needs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of evaluations progress and recommendations.
Qualifications: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Appropriate Illinois SLP licensure.
- Strong understanding of special education standards and requirements.
- Proficiency in assessing and remediating speech and language disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective therapeutic interventions.
