Job Title: Director of Distribution & Fulfillment
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Distribution & Fulfillment to oversee end-to-end operations across multiple facilities in the U.S. and Canada. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency inventory accuracy on-time order fulfillment and overall profitability. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership strategic planning and hands-on experience in high-volume distribution environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage distribution and fulfillment operations across four facilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals
- Oversee inventory management forecasting and order fulfillment processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and profitability
- Establish and monitor KPIs including quality on-time delivery and cost control
- Manage operating and capital budgets for distribution operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients vendors and stakeholders
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales Customer Service IT and HR
- Lead hiring training and development of operational teams
- Provide leadership coaching and succession planning for team members
- Oversee warehouse operations shipping invoicing and container tracking
- Report on performance metrics financial results and operational forecasts
Requirements
- Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 7 years of experience in distribution fulfillment or supply chain leadership
- Experience in high-volume fast-paced distribution environments
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and analyze performance
- Proven leadership and team management experience (1013 direct reports)
- Strong project management and process improvement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word); AS400 experience is a plus
- 50%75% travel required
- Availability for nights and weekends during peak seasons
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
