Sourcing Specialist, Diagnostics Direct Procurement

Our client a world leader in biotechnology and life sciences is looking for a "Sourcing Specialist Diagnostics Direct Procurement" based out of Oro Valley/Marana AZ.

Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate : $35/hr - $40/hr on W2 DOE

***This is an onsite position - Primary Location: Tucson AZ (split time between Marana site and Oro Valley site); Mandatory to be on-site at least 3 days per week (Tuesday and Thursdays at Oro Valley Campus. Wednesday at Marana campus)***

Responsible for executing Direct Procurement Operations activities ensuring alignment with Category Management strategies. Focuses on supplier management escalations master data management cost savings and continuous improvement

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree
  
• 3 years of procurement experience with experience in basic contracting business enterprise systems and spot buying
  
• Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs
  
• Experience in operational excellence or continuous improvement methodologies as well as experience in Life Sciences are a plus
  
• Experience with enterprise systems and procure-to-pay tools and eSourcing tools is desired
  
• Experience with SAP or other ERP software is a plus
  

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Understands and frequently uses quantitative and / or qualitative data to drive decisions
  
• Identifies risks to support statements or hypotheses
  
• Works independently to develop and implement a negotiation plan / strategy (May need assistance in leading complex or challenging negotiations)
  
• Good communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind
  
• Tailors messages and communications appropriately with limited supervision to ensure understanding
  
• Contributes to meetings and team presentations/briefings and asks appropriate questions to gather information
  
• Basic level of proficiency in business enterprise tools and understanding of the end-to-end procurement process
