Job Description
What you will be doing: Metallurgical Technician
Perform on-the-floor quality testing as required
Maintain and manage spare parts inventory
Troubleshoot systems and perform repairs in coordination with supervisors and vendors
Monitor in-plant processes to ensure adherence to standard practices and special instructions
Implement and audit departmental quality systems
Ensure product traceability across assigned areas
Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions
Apply ABS principles and A3 problem-solving methodologies
Coach team members on Quality and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices
Monitor final product data for trends and process improvements
Maintain quality records procedures and documentation
Support development of APQP tools (FMEA control plans reaction plans)
Ensure compliance with TS16949 standards and VPM systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reduce costs
Support plant safety initiatives
Experience you will need: Metallurgical Technician
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical support role
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
4 years of relevant experience (preferred)
Experience in hot rolling cold rolling or heat treatment operations (preferred)
Experience working with automotive customers (preferred)
Familiarity with SAP or similar systems (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel (preferred)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or ABS principles (preferred)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills (preferred)
Ability to multitask and work independently or within cross-functional teams (preferred)
