Job Summary

The NP/PA Intern is an observation-only trainee role designed for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant students to gain exposure to a healthcare setting through supervised observation. The intern shadows licensed providers toobservepatient-centered care clinical workflows and professional interactions withoutparticipatingin direct patient care. This position emphasizes learning collaboration and understanding evidence-based practice within the scope of academic program requirements and organizational policies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Demonstrates commitment to and practices in line with BowenHealths core valuesofrespect integritymissionand stewardship.
    • In good academic standing with program approval for internship/rotation.
    • NP/PA Abilitytomaintainpatient confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Occupational Exposure Risk Classification: The normal work routine involvesminimalexposure to blood bodyfluidsor tissues.
    • The normal work routine hasaminimalergonomic risk for repetitive motion impairment.
    • The position may requireaminimalamount of physical exertion (bending lifting twisting) in the work area.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Education:Currently enrolled in an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
    • Successful completion of on-site orientation and signing of the required confidentiality agreement.
