General Ledger Accountant

PHP 65000 to PHP 75000 per month

The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to manage core accounting functions including maintaining the general ledger preparing journal entries and supporting financial reporting.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data supporting month-end and year-end processes and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements.

What Youll Do

General Ledger & Reconciliations

• Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger including preparation and verification of journal entries
  
• Record monthly accruals deferrals and other financial data
  
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
  

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit reports
  
• Ensure financial reporting complies with IFRS and relevant regulatory standards
  
• Perform reviews and checks to validate the accuracy of financial data
  

Month-End & Accounting Support

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  
• Assist in resolving accounting issues and variances
  
• Work closely with the Finance Manager on reporting and finance-related matters
  

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Coordinate with internal departments to gather and analyze financial data
  
• Contribute to maintaining accurate and reliable financial records
  
• Support ongoing improvements in accounting processes and controls

Requirements

Who Were Looking For

• Proven experience in a General Ledger Accountant or similar role
  
• Proficient in Pronto ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software
  
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is preferred
  
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
  
• Experience with journal entries reconciliations and month-end processes
  
• Familiarity with IFRS and regulatory compliance requirements
  
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  
• Good communication and collaboration skills
