General Ledger Analyst (Hybrid Set-up)

Job Title: Finance and Accounting Analyst General Ledger

Job Dimensions:

• Management: Individual contributor within a dedicated team.
• Geographical Scope: Assigned regional and branch scope.
• Functional Scope: Responsible for processing finance and accounting activities in SAP FICO ensuring completeness and accuracy of entries.

Key Activities:

• General Ledger:

  • Post journal entries and create/update recurring documents in SAP after verifying requests and supporting documents.
  • Monitor and reconcile open item accounts.
  • Execute fixed-asset transactions including depreciation and GL-SL reconciliation.
  • Clear intercompany accounts after payments are made.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Generate financial statements prepare reporting packages and submit consolidation data.
  • Prepare VAT synthesis and tax declarations.

• Internal Controls:

  • Review transactions for atypical postings.
  • Propose analyses and prepare anti-corruption reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies SOX and audit requests.

• Others:

  • Assist Team Leader in KPIs validation and team operations.
  • Coach new team members and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.

Context:

• Fast-paced client-facing environment with extensive communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

• Timely processing of finance and accounting transactions for assigned Affiliates.
• Adherence to compliance standards and policies.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting preferably in a shared service or energy industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial data analysis.
• Knowledge of SOX and internal controls.
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Proficient in SAP MBC and ERP systems with strong MS Office skills.
• Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills; analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
