About You

The Junior Electrical Technician supports the installation wiring and maintenance of solar power systems. The role focuses on executing electrical connections and assisting with rooftop mounting of solar panels ensuring installations meet safety and quality standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation of solar PV systems including panels inverters and batteries

  • Perform electrical wiring cabling and connections for solar installations

  • Support roof mounting of solar panels ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening

  • Read and interpret basic electrical diagrams and installation layouts

  • Conduct routine system checks and basic troubleshooting

  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

  • Assist senior technicians during site inspections and maintenance activities

  • Document installation progress and report issues to supervisors



Requirements

  • OND in Electrical Engineering or Technical Certificate from Recognised Technical Institutes

  • 2 years experience in electrical or solar installations

  • Basic knowledge of solar energy systems

  • Comfortable working on rooftops ladders and in outdoor environments

  • Familiarity with electrical tools and safety practices

  • Teamwork and communication skills

Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or a related field. Relevant certifications in HSE such as NEBOSH OSHA or equivalent. Experience in HSE roles within renewable energy technology or electrical industries (at least 2 years). Strong understanding of local and international HSE regulations and standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite.
