• Manage the entire finance organization overseeing key functions including trial balance and governance collections and receivables payments and payables and banking/cash flow (including high-level bank relationships and capital strategy).
  
• Coordinate monthly and annual finance closing processes ensuring timely reconciliations and preparation of accurate statutory accounts including management of the year-end audit.
  
• Prepare monthly accounts and provide commentary on key performance drivers for the executive team identifying areas for review and opportunities.
  
• Prepare consolidated financial packs to provide a clear view of profitability.
  
• Prepare and present the annual budget and semiannual forecast updates.
  
• Oversee and sign off on all tax submissions and weekly/monthly payroll.
  
• Build strong relationships with financial partners to ensure trust understanding of capital requirements and access to necessary financial resources and services.
  
• Maintain a high-level focus on operational efficiencies.
  

• Provide relevant executive insights and proactive commercial support to business principals.
  
• Model and present the financial implications of changes in business operations or the general economic climate.
  
• Set up models to assess and report performance and return on project investments such as the USA investment.
  
• Lead commercial review areas including product/customer pricing models (profitability) cost-saving initiatives (insurance logistics distribution) and profitability of specific investments (e.g. coffee investment supplier review).
  
• Develop and implement tax strategy liaising with auditors to minimize the tax burden.
  
• Oversee the development implementation and ongoing optimization of the Groups B-BBEE strategy and structure for compliance commercial growth and stakeholder objectives.
  
• Manage the annual development process for the 3-year strategy and the corresponding annual and monthly budget.
  
• Improve the quality of management reporting including KPI dashboards to be assessed daily weekly and monthly.
  
• Develop and propose forex and commodity hedging strategies.
  
• Support the transition to a new ERP system ensuring efficient and reliable reporting systems for data safety and accuracy.
  

• Assist in the development of integrated Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and ERP systems including automated operational and commercial dashboards.
  
• Drive data-driven decision-making by delivering timely and accurate insights that support pricing strategy cost optimisation working capital management and investment evaluation.
  
• Implement AI-enabled analytics and forecasting tools to improve demand forecasting inventory planning and identification of margin leakage.
  
• Be responsible for the management and supervision of the finance team (currently 8 individuals).
  

Requirements

• C.A. (S.A.) qualification is required.
  
• At least 5 years of experience as a finance executive or similar position with proven leadership skills.
