A dynamic opportunity is available for a DMC Retail Travel Specialist to join a fast-paced reservations team designing and managing bespoke safari itineraries for international clients.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented service-driven professional with strong sales ability and a passion for creating exceptional travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and craft tailor-made itineraries

Manage the full reservations process from quotation to final documentation

Ensure bookings meet guest expectations and budget requirements

Communicate clearly with agents suppliers and internal teams

Handle bookings efficiently from enquiry through to invoicing

Proactively sell travel products and enhance guest experiences

Work rotational shifts (early/late) and emergency duty as required

Maintain a calm professional approach when assisting clients

Ensure accuracy attention to detail and timely delivery of all services

Requirements

Requirements:

35 years experience in tour consulting or travel reservations

Strong knowledge of Southern and/or East African destinations

Experience with reservation systems (Tourplan)

Proficiency in MS Office and tools such as WETU

Strong communication organisation and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines

Required Skills:

Requirements: 35 years experience in luxury safari reservations or tour consulting Diploma or degree in Tourism or related field Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal) Strong knowledge of East African destinations and safari logistics Experience working with international travel agents and luxury clientele Proficiency in reservation systems (e.g. Tourplan) and tools such as WETU Strong attention to detail organisation and multitasking ability Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
